Memorial Day Weekend

We had a great time traveling to Grosse Pointe for Memorial Day weekend. The weather was great and we were able to do a lot of fun things. Miles had his first trip to Papa's boat and Will was able to really enjoy his boating experience this year. He even fed the ducks crackers and ice...he is convinced now that ducks love ice since we let him occupy himself by feeding them an ice cube at a time from the cooler. You'll notice that for every cracker the ducks have, Will ate about three himself! We also enjoyed a wonderful picnic on the water. Miles enjoyed Mimi's new swing a ton! Will also had his first taste of corn on the cob...he LOVED it!!! And doesn't Will look like Magnum P.I. with his flowered shirt and Tigers' hat?

3 Months Old

Miles is getting to be quite the big boy. This is a picture of him at 3 months in the chair (it is fun to compare it to his 1 and 2 month pics). At the doctor this week, he weighed 14 pounds and 24 3/4 inches long. He was the 75th percentile for weight and height.

Great Miles pictures

Miles has changed so much over the past two months. He is smiling all the time, laughing out loud, and is very good at watching everything around him....including his big brother!

Great Will pictures

Will is a very fun and active 1 and 1/2 year old. His creative side is really starting to develop, and he is very into dress-up and also mimicking mom and dad. Here are some cute pics from the past two months.

Lohse's Visit

We had a great visit with Doug, Val, Eric, and Sophia when the came to see us in Columbus. It was a perfect weekend of weather too! They even brought their dog, Pokey, along which Will loved. We did a lot of hanging out on Friday (notice Eric (Pete's godson) the adorable Redwings hockey player), we went to the zoo and Clippers baseball game on Saturday, and played at a park and went to lunch Sunday before they left. We hope to go to NY and visit them soon!

Indy Trip

We took a mini vacation as a family of four to Indianapolis for two days. We had a blast! We woke up early and went to the zoo first, then spent the afternoon at an indoor waterpark where we were staying. The next day we got up and went to the Indy Children's Museum. This place is amazing!!! We could have gone back a second day because there was so much to see and do. We are already talking about taking at least one trip back there this summer if not more than that. Miles was great at traveling, and we had fun giving Will some special mommy and daddy attention. You know it is a great trip when they both fall asleep in the stroller before you even leave, and they both slept every time we hit the car!

Grosse Pointe visit

We had a great time visiting everyone in Grosse Pointe for a very special weekend. It was Katie's baby shower and we were so happy help celebrate the upcoming arrival of Baby Valentine. Pete and I are so excited to be an aunt and uncle again very soon (baby is due the end of July!). It was Miles' first trip to the "D" as Pete would say, and he had a great time meeting everyone.

Outside fun

With the great weather we have been having recently, we have spent a lot of our time outside. We were very lucky to get a double stroller from grandma and grandpa, so we can enjoy long walks together. It is quite the workout I might add! Will also got a wonderful water table from mimi and papa that he loves to play with. We are looking forward to spending a lot of time outside this summer!
