Water Baby

Will LOVED swim lessons.  The entire time he laughed and kicked his legs.  He was the youngest baby by far, but that didn't hold him back from trying everything.  That even included trying to dunk his face in the water!  We can already tell that this is going to be a wonderful Blake Family tradition.

I must be teething

There are no chompers yet, but we know they have to be right around the corner.  This is Will's favorite new face....chewing on the bottom lip.  He is also constantly wet with drool and everything in sight must be put in the mouth.

I can sit all by myself

Will is getting very good at sitting all by himself.  There are times we think that he forgets that no one is holding him, and he may topple over..as is evident in one of the pictures.  He is also starting to scoot forward and army crawl.  We are sure it is only a few short months until we will need to baby proof the entire house!

Bedtime Story with Grandma

Will had a lot of fun when Grandma and Grandpa came for an unexpected visit on Sunday.  One of his favorite parts of the night is when Grandma read him a story.  As you can see, Will couldn't contain his excitement and had to keep putting the book in his mouth (along with everything else these days).  Grandpa fed him his bottle and they both put him to bed.  What a great night for Will and his mommy and daddy.

Good Friends

We had a wonderful time visiting with friends on Saturday.  We went over the Sanders' house, where Will was able to hang out with his buddy Graham.  They are only a few weeks apart in age, so it is very fun to see them together.  At one point Graham and Will kept grabbing on to each other (so funny!!)

Gymboree Fun

Will, mommy and daddy had so much fun at our first Gymboree class. We went on Saturday to check it out and see if it something we would like to do on a regular basis. When the summer hits and we have more days that we can go, we may sign Will up for class because he really seemed to enjoy it. If nothing else, today gave us a lot of laughs and some fun pictures!

Bath Time

Because Will is getting to be such a good sitter and can pretty much hold his body weight up on his own, he is out of the baby tub and sitting in the big tub. The white chair he is sitting in is great because it helps him stay upright and makes bath time a lot easier when we decide to be crazy. Will loves his baths!!! We even signed him up for his first swim lessons that begin in two weeks. He gets his love of water from his mommy! It is fun to compare these pictures to posts in October about bath time. We can't believe how big he is getting and how much he has changed. More to come soon!

Fun at COSI

We had a great time on Saturday visiting COSI, the children's science museum in town.  Our good friends the Lohse family and the Neugebauer family were in town with their kids.  As you can see from the pictures, the museum was a hit.  Will had so much fun at the baby water table...we can't wait to go back for another visit!

I'm 5 months old!

Here are some recent pictures of Will.  It is so hard to believe that he is already 5 months old.  Oh, how time just flies by!!!

Will loves school

We have been very lucky, because Will seems to have adjusted very well to going to school.  We are in our third week, and we think he is really enjoying the interaction with all the kids and the excitement of the day.  Will's teachers love him, and we are really impressed so far with the staff at Ready Set Grow.  This is a picture of Will as he heads off to school in the morning with daddy.  Mommy picks him up everyday, and daddy gets to take him!
