4th Anniversary

Pete and I had a great time celebrating our fourth anniversary together. This has been the most memorable year and we are looking forward to many more to come. We took Will with us since we had just gone away last weekend and he was a good sport.

Messy Eater

Will has always been the best eater, and that is still the case.  His new favorite things to do with food are to drop the it on the ground and laugh, smash it all over his tray, and rub it all over his head and hair.  We are hoping this is a short phase!

Friends Visit

We had a great time this past Saturday when we had some friends over. Will had a blast hanging out with Graham (they the same age so it is really fun to see them together) and also Matt, Katie and baby Tyler. Will and Graham chased Katie and Matt around the house for a long time. There were great babysitters! Will also showed Graham some of his favorite things to do....pulling all the blankets out of the bin and pulling all the pictures and magnets down from mommy's dishwasher. Double Trouble! :) Hopefully we will get to see everyone again soon. (Thanks Kari for some great pictures!)

A few of my favorite things

We are starting to see Will's personality blossom! He is a very curious and determined child. If he wants something, he will figure out how to get to the right place to find the item. He has wedged himself under tables, between chairs and under couches and end tables to find the prize! One of his favorite things is finding every magazine in the house. And after Will has read them, be prepared to be missing a few pages! He also loves to get in the Tupperware cabinet and the pots and pans cabinet in the kitchen. I'm definitely getting my exercise this summer chasing after him all day! :)

Boating with Papa

Will really enjoyed his second boat ride.  Last time he was only six weeks old, so we're sure he probably doesn't remember it.  Papa is a great captain, and he even let Will take a turn!  The weather was gorgeous on Sunday, so everyone stayed around a few extra hours to get some great boating time in.

Bubbles

It was so fun on Saturday night having Will play with bubbles.  He loved watching them sail through the sky and even was able to wave the wand a little on his own, which he loved.  It was so nice that everyone was in town...thanks Aunt Lisa for traveling from Chicago to see us.  What a wonderful summer weekend!

Detroit Zoo

We had a great time visiting the zoo on Saturday with Mimi and Papa.  Even though the weather was overcast, it never rained and the zoo was not very crowded.  As you can tell in the pictures, we were wearing warm clothes in the middle of June.  Crazy!  Will was more interested in looking at all the people around the zoo than the animals.

Dreaming of the Cup

There is nothing else that needs to be said :)

I'm 9 months old!

We went for Will's nine month checkup today.  Everything went very well.  He even let Dr. Dan hold him for a minute without tears, so that was a good accomplishment.  We are happy to report that Will is still 50th percentile for weight, 90th percentile for height, and 97+ percentile for head circumference.  The doctor even joked that he took after his father!  At least he now has hair on his head...what a cutie!

New toys

I got Will some great new toys this weekend.  He can't get enough of the noisy ones.  I must have listened to "If you're happy and you know it" about 100 times in just three days!

Summer Fun

Will loved swimming in his baby pool this weekend.  Thanks to grandma and grandpa for the great pool!  He also went to the swim club with mommy today for the first time and had a blast.  He just squealed the whole time watching all the other kids splashing around.  He is such the water baby.

I can stand!

Will learned to pull himself up to standing a few weeks ago.  One of his favorite spots in the house is the side windows in our family room where he can pound on the windows to try and get Sophie and Touchdown's (the golden retrievers next door) attention.  So much for clean windows for the time being!
