Uncle Kevin is Home!!!

We had a great time in Cincy for the day! We were able to greet Uncle Kevin and Jen as they arrived home to Cincy! We are so excited for them because they are recently engaged, Kevin is officially done with the army, and they are moving to Chicago in a few short weeks. We also got to see Jace for the first time and we attempted a pic of all four grandsons. I think it will be many years until we can get one of all of them looking and smiling at the same time...by then there will probably be more little ones to add in too! :)

Ohio State Fair

We had a great time visiting the Ohio State Fair. This is our second year going, and Will really enjoys it. It is a wonderful place to see all the farm animals up close. This year Will was old enough to go on some of the rides, even though at times we weren't sure if he enjoyed it or not. The butter sculpture this year was with my favorite football player...Chinedum Ndukwe (he plays for the Bengals but also played for Notre Dame and is from the school district I teach in!)

Lohse Visit

We had a great time visiting the Lohse family in NY on our way back from Sesame Place. They have a beautiful house and the weather was great, so we were able to have a lot of fun hang out time with Doug, Val, Eric, and Pia. We hope that we will be able to see them again soon!

Papa Bill

On our way from Sesame Place to the Lohse's house in New York, we stopped by Pittston, PA, to visit the birthplace of Papa Bill. Will is named after his great grandfather, William Bufalino, so we had to get pics of him in front of the building too. One of my favorite pictures is the one of William street in Pittston. Now the question is how to get this glass pane out of the window so it stays in the family for years to come!

Crayola Factory

On our way from Sesame Place to the Lohse's, we also stopped at the Crayola Factory. It was a really cute place. You can see the history of Crayola and then walk around the three floors of the building to complete various art projects. Will had fun in the beginning, but was soon tired of sitting still for so long and doing "art class" as he called it. This is definitely something both boys will enjoy more in a few years! We left and walked around Easton, PA, and had lunch and ice cream at two cute little places instead. :)

Sesame Place

We had the best time visiting Sesame Place in PA. We were a little worried about the drive out there, but the mom mobile came through again...we found wireless headphones for the dvd player that Will loved! Mom's bag of surprises helped the trip go a little better too! We were able to spend two whole days at the park which allowed us to do everything once and even some of our favorite things a few times. We stayed in a hotel nearby, so we went back both days for naps (even though the first day Will was convinced that 30 mins. was enough of his typical 3 hour nap because he was so excited to go back to "Elmo's House"). Sesame Place is such a clean and friendly kid park and we are already making plans to go back next summer. We had dinner and breakfast with the characters, which was really our favorite part of the trip. Will had one on one time with each character which was very cute. He also loved going to the Elmo's World Show and the Elmo Rocks Show. Miles was a star in the Elmo's World Show! A great way to end the day was the parade of all the characters. If only Sesame Place was a little closer...we would be going back sooner than next summer!

Hershey's Chocolate World

On our way to Sesame Place, we stopped in Hershey, PA. We had a great time on the chocolate world ride and Will loved making candy with daddy. It was a great way to break up a long trip in the car! :)
