Happy Halloween
We had a great time celebrating Halloween this year. Will really got into dressing up...we picked his costume two months before, in August :) He loved going around and saying trick or treat. Miles made it to a few houses, but it was a really chilly night, so he stayed in and passed out candy instead.

Miles is 8 months old
We can't believe that 2/3 of Miles' first year is already complete. It has gone so fast! This month, he has been trying to keep up with his big brother. He has been crawling really fast, can pull up to standing, and is already cruising around furniture. He wasn't a fan of table food until this month, and now he can't get enough. I have already been getting worried about two boys and the teenage years...I will always be grocery shopping and cooking! Miles can say "da da", but we don't think he knows quite what it means. He has also started waving hello and goodbye.

Class Field Trip
It was our first class field trip, and I'm not sure who had more fun....mom or Will. Since I'm a teacher and get to go on trips annually, it was really special to be able to chaperone Will on his first one. It was great to have the one on one time too. We went on a hayride, picked pumpkins, gourds, and "cobs of corn" (Will's favorite fall phrase), and saw a bunch of animals. Afterwards his whole class with parents and teachers went to Wendy's for lunch. Great memories!

Who does Miles look like???
That is a daily question, that Pete and I finally have the answer to.....Will!!!! After comparing these pictures, we can't even believe how similar our two boys are.

Apples and Pumpkins
Our yearly tradition is to travel to Lynd's Fruit Farm the first weekend in October. We even went two years ago when Will was just one month old. It is so fun to pick the apples, check out the fall store, and for the first time this year we actually went out and picked our own pumpkins. Will was so excited! The night before we went, he was singing and talking to himself in his crib for a long time. After an hour, Pete went in to check on him and the first thing he told Pete was, "tomorrow me go and pick apples and pumpkins". Priceless! Grandma and grandpa came up to join in the festivities too! This is one of our favorite family events all year!
