Aunt Lisa's Visit

We had a wonderful time this week when Aunt Lisa came to visit us. We had a fun and eventful three days. We went to the pool, COSI, Gymboree class, shopping, out to lunch twice, and had lots of play time at home. The boys are so lucky to have such a wonderful aunt!!!

Big Brother Knows Best

Or at least this is what Will would like to believe. We have started pulling out some toys from the basement for Miles to use and Will is having a hard time understanding that there are some things that he is too big for. He begs to be put in the exersaucer and and jumparoo, but lasts about 30 seconds before begging to be taken out. Miles loves both of them already!

Miles is 4 months old

Miles is growing like a weed. He is still in the 75th percentile for weight and height and moved up to the 90th percentile for head circumference. He weighs almost 16 pounds!!! To compare Miles' size to Will's size, Will was longer and thinner.

Walks and the Park

Almost daily we go for a long walk in the afternoon. Both boys love to be outside, and mom has loved getting the exercise. One of our favorite stops is the nearby elementary school to play on the playground.

Lazy Summer Days

It has been wonderful this summer just hanging out at home some days. There have even been days where we are still in our PJ's at nap time! One thing Will loves to do is watch Elmo videos on YouTube and Miles is a huge fan of his playmat. I know someday I'm going to really miss these little moments in time!

Daddy's Special Weekend

Pete celebrated his 34th birthday and Father's Day all in the same weekend. The boys and I tried to make his weekend very special. Mimi and Papa came down to celebrate with us as well!

Bye Momma, Dadda, and Miles!

Will has become quite the talker! Much of what comes out of his mouth is so funny...an example: He picked up a shopping bag, his balloon, and of course his cup of milk and announced to Pete, Miles, and me that he was going bye-bye. Then he walked to the door and tried to leave. We can only hope that someday when he threatens to leave he stops to give hugs and kisses and grab his milk before walking out the door! :)

Summer Time

We have been blessed with wonderful weather so far this summer. It is sunny and warm during the day with rain overnight to keep the grass and plants happy. Because we have such a nice yard and deck, we have been spending a lot of time in the backyard. Miles can hang out on the deck in the shade, and Will and I can explore the yard. We have even planted our first veggie/herb/fruit garden this year and surprisingly it is growing fairly well!

Crib Time

Will always wants to help get Miles up from naps and the other day while we were doing this, he begged to get in Miles' bed with him. It was pretty cute to see my little buddies hanging out together!

Diggers

We have been lucky to spend a lot of time this summer at COSI. They had a really fun exhibit with a bunch of real diggers, trucks, and lots of other heavy equipment :) Will had a blast! Miles slept through the whole experience, so I had to take a picture of him later in his digger outfit...so cute!!!

New Shoes

A few weeks ago I was going through some clothing from my sister that use to belong to our nephew Leo. I found a black pair of Crocs that I remember Leo getting three years ago on a trip to the beach. Of course Will had to try them right away because he LOVES anything that has to do with his big cousin. The Crocs were a huge hit for Will and for mom as well...what a great invention! Easy to clean, easy to put on, easy to take off! So while I was shopping for Father's Day, I had to pick up a pair of blue ones as well and had them put a fire truck decoration in one foot and a police car in the other. Needless to say, they were a huge hit!

Schools Out For Summer!

Yes, I only had to go back for seven days this year before summer break...what a perfect time of year to have a baby! While I was on maternity leave, we had Will continue to go to "his school" a few times a week to keep him used to it and also to allow me time to spend with Miles. Will has definitely grown to love Ready, Set, Grow and we feel so lucky to have found such a great place to send the boys. He was with two wonderful teachers the last six months, Miss Melissa and Miss Brittany. They had a going away present for him and also had a little party on his last day. He is a lucky boy! He still talks about his school friends everyday and is looking forward to going back this fall. These pics are from his last day this school year!
