Miles is 1 month old

We wanted to make sure and capture how much Miles grows over the next year, so we took an idea from another blog we follow. We're going to take Miles' picture each month in the same chair to be able to see how much he changes. Here is month 1:

Baby Elephant's First Birthday

We love going to the zoo, and thought it would be a lot of fun to celebrate the Columbus Zoo's baby elephant's birthday. Beco had a wonderful celebration with fun things to do and a party that even included a birthday cake. We had so much celebrating with the Sanders. Graham and Will are becoming such great friends! (this was the only pic I could capture where they are both looking and not running around :))

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Thank you to the Cincy family for the adorable outfits. Our little Irish boys were dressed to party. They were having a party at Will's school today, so we were glad he could dress for the occasion. Enjoy!

First baths

We have given Miles a few baths over the past two weeks. Until this week, he was only allowed to get a wipe down on the bear sponge because his cord had not fallen off. Will is a huge fan of bath time, and Miles seems to follow in his big brother's footsteps. Will had a blast being able to help with Miles' bath!

First Dr. Visit

Miles did very well at his first appointment with Dr. Dan. Just like Will, Miles really likes Dr. Dan. We had to go back twice for a weight check (he is 9 lbs + now) and also to have his belly button looked at. He has an umbilical cord hernia, but it is nothing to worry about and should go away on its own within the next two years.

Brothers

Will has adjusted very well to being a big brother. It is amazing to think of all of the great times Miles and Will are going to have over the years. I know that we're in for lots of trucks, bugs, dirt, and sports over the next 18 years! When Will first saw Miles he was interested but was also intrigued with the hospital room and all of the cabinets, furniture, and what was going on outside the windows. As Will has had time to get to know Miles, he has become very protective. When I pick him up from school and Miles is in his stroller, he proudly announces to all of the other toddlers that Miles is "my baby" and gets mad if anyone gets too close. So cute!
