Fun pictures

Over the past few weeks I have become a much better walker.  This past weekend at grandma and grandpa's house...while mommy and daddy were in South Bend cheering on the Irish...I thought it was fun to walk all over and chase my big cousin Leo.  I'm also a huge fan of bubbles...as you can tell from the picture!

Race car driver

Or stunt man if you see these pictures!  Will loves his new car from the Sanders family.  Within two days he learned to climb on himself and move it backwards and forwards on his own.  He has even tried standing a few times and also loves to sit on the car with the seat open.  Silly goose!

First dip in Lake St. Clair

Water, water, here Will comes!  You may notice that mommy, Mimi, Uncle Anthony and Aunt Katie are not in the water with Will, and that is because it was too cold.  But if there is water around, there is no stopping Will from taking a dip.  He had a fantastic time swimming with his Papa, daddy, Aunt Joan and Uncle Frank.  It has been something we have been wanting to do and we were finally able to on this past trip home to Grosse Pointe.

Fun at the farm

We had a great time a few weeks ago visiting the Blake Family farm in Michigan.  The farm was started over sixty years ago by Papa Fritz's brother and sister-in-law.  Their sons now work the farm.  It was amazing to see everything.  There were apples, pumpkins and lots of other produce you could pick.  There was a working cider mill which was very interesting to see.  Also, they had an adorable children's area with lots of animals, displays and fun things to do.  Will had a blast!  We hope that we can make this a fall tradition and visit every year with Mimi and Papa.

Happy Birthday William Francis!

Happy Birthday to you.  Happy Birthday to you.  Happy Birthday dear Will...Happy Birthday to you!

What a perfect day.  We started off the day with pancakes, a candle and, of course, some beautiful birthday tunes.  Then at school, Will's class made birthday hats they all wore, they ate Will's birthday treat of popsicles outside, and the little man himself even fell asleep on a buggy ride around school.  Then, daddy got off work early, picked up Will early, and met mommy at work.  We all went over to the zoo for a few hours and enjoyed the beautiful weather.  Will got to see all of his favorite things...especially the fish!  Because it wasn't crowded tonight, he was even able to touch the little sea creatures in the tidal pools.  There were lots of laughs here!  During our visit to the kangaroos, the male kangaroo decided to leap right over Will as I was snapping the picture.  Then we went into the bird area (and if you didn't know, I'm not the biggest fan of birds) and mommy put on her brave face and fed the birds so Will could get a close look at them.  Not my favorite memory, but it was worth it to see Will so excited.  Great memories of such a special day!

Fun at the playground

Over the past few months, Will has been fortunate to go on many trips to our neighborhood playground.  He LOVES the slides.  Mr. No Fear has no problem climbing up the jungle gym on his own and sliding down the slides.  He doesn't like the baby swing too much, but loved going on the big swing with daddy.

Happy 1st Birthday Party Will!

What a fun day!  We are so blessed to have so many wonderful family members and friends who came over Saturday to celebrate our special man's 1st birthday.  He got lots of wonderful presents, and it still seems to be Christmas every morning when he wakes up and sees them all around the family room.  He loved his cake...the icing he wasn't so sure of!  It was a wonderful and perfect day!

Broken Camera

We're back!  Yes, it has been WAY too long to go without pictures and a post.  Our camera had a little issue, so after ordering a new one a few weeks ago...and still waiting for it to arrive, we have borrowed grandma and grandpa's camera for the time being.  Thank you grandma and grandpa!  We couldn't have Will's first birthday go by without many pictures.
