Just a great picture!

Thanks to Elissa for one of the cutest pictures ever!  We went to the zoo last month to celebrate Wyatt's first birthday with the Gunsorek and Dillon family.  What an adorable picture!

Love this face

One of my favorite Will faces is when he is really sleeping and has one lip off to the side. On the way back this past weekend, we captured this picture. How adorable!

I'm a big boy!

Will is officially on table foods. After an introduction at eight months, he has progressed to not wanting baby food anymore. Don't worry though, he is still a great eater and will even shovel the food in two hands at a time. He has tried everything and not turned his nose yet. We're keeping our fingers crossed that this will continue. Feeding time is much messier and sometimes even requires a bath afterwards.

Grosse Pointe Visit

We had a wonderful time over Memorial Day weekend visiting Mimi and Papa. On Saturday we had a picnic with the Plonkas and LaFonds and enjoyed the beautiful weather. On Sunday we went for a long walk, played and just had a fun time. Will had some alone time with Mimi and Papa while mommy and daddy went out for a nice dinner. Fun for everyone! We unfortunately didn't take many pictures, but we did snap one fun memory. Mimi let Will play with her plastic lids. Fun for hours!

ND Weekend

We had a great time celebrating John's Notre Dame graduation. It was hard to believe that in the middle of May the high would only be in the 50's, but despite the cooler temps, there were blue skies and lots of sun all weekend. We had a great time celebrating with the graduate and also showing Will around Notre Dame for the first time. We know this is just the first of many weekends to come! We're already counting down the weekends until September for a ND football weekend.

First Plane Ride

All three of us had a great time on Will's first flight.  We were very lucky and had the bulkhead on the first flight, so there was a lot more room, and we had three seats for the three of us on the way home.  Will slept half of the first flight and played very quietly the second half (plastic cups were a big hit) and slept the entire two hour flight on the way home.  He also had a great time in the airport watching all the people and action.

Awesome Baby

Yes, we ran into Dick Vitale at the Broken Egg when we went to brunch on the last day. He is a really nice man and spends a lot of time raising money for pediatric cancer research. Needless to say, we had to buy a book for Will and have his picture taken for some great memories. He even called Will a "diaper dandy".

I want to be just like my daddy!

One of Pete's favorite beach traditions is to read a John Grisham book on vacation.  Will wanted in on the action, so as you can see we let him use Pete's glasses and book for a relaxing afternoon in the sand.  Will also enjoyed taking at least one if not both of his naps of the day on the beach in his jog stroller.  The jog stroller is the best thing for the beach!

Daddy's favorite spots

Since Siesta Key is a place Pete has gone for awhile, he has his favorite spots which I'm sure no one would have guessed.  One of the pictures if from Phillipi Creek...a great seafood place right on the inlet.  The other is a picture of Pete and Will in front of the crab at the front of Captain Curts.  Anyone who knows Pete knows that one of his favorite foods is a Cheese Grouper in Paradise from Captain Curts.

I also LOVE the pool!

Thanks to grandma and grandpa for the great raft for the pool!  Will enjoyed watching all the older kids run and jump in the pool and didn't even mind the occasional splashes.  Will is even becoming good at blowing bubbles in the water.

I love the sand and waves!

As you might guess, as soon as Will hit the sand some went right into his mouth.  We were lucky though, because after his first few handfulls the first day, he didn't really attempt to put more sand in his mouth.  The seashells though, those are another story!  One of Will's favorite things on vacation was loading his towel up with sand and then moving it back and forth into different piles.  The toys we rented from the baby place were also a huge hit!

Not only was the sand great fun, but the waves were a lot of entertainment too.  For a little man, he showed no fear as he jumped the waves with his mommy and daddy.  As soon as he would see the water, he would start moving a mile a minute as he squealed with delight.

Siesta Key

Wow, what a great vacation!  Not only did Will have a wonderful time, Pete and I really enjoyed our time together as well.  Will was the perfect little man the whole time.  He enjoyed his first plane trip, and just LOVED the water.  Love is even an understatement!  He was never scared, even when he was out jumping waves in the ocean.  He is such a water baby.  The weather was perfect and we made lots of wonderful memories.  We will add pictures everyday this week with some of the great memories we captured on the camera.  Enjoy!

Ride 'em cowboy

Will loved riding on Wyatt's horse last week.  We had to post some pictures for everyone to see!

I can stand

Before we left for vacation on Friday, Will was able to master pulling himself up to the standing position. He has been working on this for a few weeks, so it was wonderful to see how proud he was once he was standing. We are also very close to crawling....Will can army crawl and go about one foot by crawling. We're pretty sure within a few days or weeks, he will be all over the house.
